As part of the Live At Leeds 2010 Unconference Paris Panda Director, Lisa Hibbert joined a panel of Bloggers, Labels, PR types and Managers to offer her advice and insights on how Social Media Marketing can help new artists build loyal fan bases.
Social Media platforms have changed the way artists interact with their fans, as well the role of Record Labels, Pluggers and PR companies. Technology has created a more democratic playing field where artists have more control than ever before in promoting their music. So how do potential break-through artists utilise Social Media platforms and the new technologies to their benefit? When artists collaborate with Social Media Marketing experts they can make the right noise in the right places and generate some great results. Today’s music consumers are demanding more value from an artist than a traditional CD or album download. Creative Social Media campaigns are a sure fire way to add value, increase loyalty, and ultimately lead to sales.
Paris Panda has designed and built a new website for music festival, Live At Leeds.
With the line-up constantly growing, the new site incorporates a Content Management System and Blog to enable the Live At Leeds staff to keep it bang up to date. It also acts as a hub for the Live At Leeds community across social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, making use of feeds and widgets to engage the LAL fans.

Digital music marketing specialists Paris Panda are thrilled to have been appointed to work on the project across the next 4 years to keep the site up to date with the latest online developments to help pull in the crowds. Live at Leeds will be taking place across various venues in Leeds from 30th April – 3rd May 2010.

The music theme at Leeds Digital Week 2009 naturally meant that music marketing specialists Paris Panda had to get involved. In conjunction with Leeds Media, Paris Panda organised the round the table debate inviting special guest – 80’s Punk musician, Journalist and Goldblade singer John Robb to compere at the event.

With an audience of musicians, writers, record label managers and music consumers, Robb helped ignite debates on the impact of digital on music, the direction of digital music and the role web 2.0 can play in breaking new acts and reaching new markets.
At PP HQ we LOVE creating banner ads. Working on a series of online single and album banner adverts from French duo Air’s ‘Love 2’ album to David Guetta’s ‘One Love’ album and Lethal Bizzle’s latest single campaign for ‘Going Out Tonight.’ Through creating several eye catching and compelling flash animated banners we aimed to improve click through rates and direct traffic through to point of purchase on the iTunes platform.

Working on the Reverend and The Makers new album digital campaign for ‘A French Kiss In The Chaos’. Paris Panda created a secure free download site for fans who had pre-ordered the album to help boost the bands fanbase and improve sales.
The Rev’s MySpace page was also given a redesign to feature streamed video content for each new single release. Paris Panda also created a series of online banner adverts for the album which were rolled out across the Google and MySpace networks.
