The music theme at Leeds Digital Week 2009 naturally meant that music marketing specialists Paris Panda had to get involved. In conjunction with Leeds Media, Paris Panda organised the round the table debate inviting special guest – 80’s Punk musician, Journalist and Goldblade singer John Robb to compere at the event.

With an audience of musicians, writers, record label managers and music consumers, Robb helped ignite debates on the impact of digital on music, the direction of digital music and the role web 2.0 can play in breaking new acts and reaching new markets.
At PP HQ we LOVE creating banner ads. Working on a series of online single and album banner adverts from French duo Air’s ‘Love 2’ album to David Guetta’s ‘One Love’ album and Lethal Bizzle’s latest single campaign for ‘Going Out Tonight.’ Through creating several eye catching and compelling flash animated banners we aimed to improve click through rates and direct traffic through to point of purchase on the iTunes platform.

Working on the Reverend and The Makers new album digital campaign for ‘A French Kiss In The Chaos’. Paris Panda created a secure free download site for fans who had pre-ordered the album to help boost the bands fanbase and improve sales.
The Rev’s MySpace page was also given a redesign to feature streamed video content for each new single release. Paris Panda also created a series of online banner adverts for the album which were rolled out across the Google and MySpace networks.

Paris Panda headquarters are very excited to announce the arrival of www.dancetotheradio.com the brand new content managed web site for independent record label, Dance to the Radio.
Presented with a brief to update the label’s previous site and incorporate a CMS. Paris Panda has successfully delivered a multi-functional site which enables the client to self manage and upload content such as information on artists, releases and gig dates.
The site facilitates interactivity via mailing list sign up areas, a popular blog, an online shop and a live social networking twitter feed. This encourages and enables direct contact and engagement from label and artist to fanbase on up to the minute news.
Spokesman for the label said: “ We’re really impressed with what Paris Panda has created. We feel it sets the bar for sites of this kind in the industry. DTTR are now able to easily optimise and share data between artists and fans at the touch of a button. This enables us to build online relationships more effectively whilst creating better revenue streams for our artists.”

Paris Panda has just completed work as part of an integrated campaign for Norwegian songstress Ida Maria.
To promote her latest single release ‘Oh My God’ and forthcoming album ‘Fortress Around My Heart’, Paris Panda helped to send one lucky competition winner to Ida’s native Norway to see the singer perform live at the Barents music festival. With the possibility of also catching a glimpse of the magical northern lights!
Fans were informed of this exclusive opportunity via an ecard announcing the competition. From the ecard fans then linked to the competition micro site where they viewed the ‘Oh My God’ video and had to enter the missing word!
Paris Panda also designed the outdoor / billboard advertising and online banner adverts for both the single and album releases on the Google and MySpace networks.

When approached to brainstorm and create online concepts for the iconic singer and all round outrageous superstar Grace Jones, Paris Panda suggested that Grace should arrive on the Facebook scene and ruffle a few feathers!
Who better than Grace to carry off such a feat? After some highly amusing research we crafted a new Facebook Application called Socially Sick, a phrase that a teacher once used to describe the school girl – Grace Mendoza.
We felt there was a definite calling for some outrageous, naughty behaviour amongst all the hugging, kissing, poking and general Facebook niceness. Spread the outrage here and find out how friends can ‘Lick’, ‘Pooh – pooh’, ‘Give the finger’ or ‘Howl’ at their mates as well as ‘Drag by the hair’, ‘Stand up’, ‘Dress down’ or ‘Slap’ each other in true Grace-like diva fashion.
As part of a wider campaign in support of the album release, ‘Hurricane’, her first in 20 years Paris Panda also delivered several eye catching online ads for placement across music and gay sites using artwork by none other than infamous street artist Banksy.
Grace Jones’ Hurricane went on sale on November 3rd and is followed by the EP release of ‘William’s Blood’ on December 8th, ‘William’s Blood’ is an 11 minute art piece produced by the much acclaimed Chris Cunningham. The award winning, music film and video director has previously won awards for Bjorks ‘All is full of Love‘ and directed Madonna’s ‘Frozen’ video.

Grace Jones' first release for 20 years, Hurricane, is out now on Wall Of Sound Records.
